Chinese smartphone maker OPPO officially launched its latest device - the OPPO R9s smartphone - in Australia for the price of AUD 600 or roughly equivalent to $450. The smartphone can be pre-order in the country via Optus and Woolworths Mobile, JB Hi-Fi, Vodafone, and Virgin Mobile.

The OPPO R9s smartphone features a 5.50-inch display screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 401 pixels per inch. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at a speed of 2 GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM onboard and packed with a built-in 64GB of internal memory storage, which can be further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the OPPO R9s smartphone sports a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, coupled with OPPO's latest customized user interface laid on top. Fueling the device is a non-removable 3010 mAh capacity battery inside.

Other features the OPPO R9s smartphone offers include dual SIM, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Sensors on the phone include Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, and Gyroscope. It measures body dimensions of 153.00 x 74.30 x 6.58 (height x width x thickness) and weighs around 145.00 grams.

The OPPO R9s smartphone is available Black and White color options. Meanwhile, the handset also comes in a Red, but that model is currently only available in selected markets including Taiwan, China, and Singapore.
