Xiaomi Unveils new Home Products in China

Xiaomi has unveiled six new products that are designed for home usage under its Mijia crowd-funded platform in China.
The new home product range includes Mi Walkie-Talkie, Mi Driving Recorder, Mi Smart Camera, Mi Smart Scale 2, Mi Router HD and Mi Router Pro.
The first product under the Mijia crowd-funded platform is the Mi Walkie-Talkie, which supports both Ultra High Frequency (UHF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) bands. It can be used in the city as well as open fields. It features built-in Radio FM and allows the users to share their location.

Mi Walkie-Talkie sports a black and white LCD screen with 160 x 100 screen resolution. Its 2600mAh battery can last up to eight days and it supports Micro-USB charging. The device is available in two color options: white and blue. It has been priced at CNY 249.
Next home product is Mi Driving Recorder with a design similar to GoPro camera. It features Sony IMX323 image sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 160-degree wide-angle lens. Mi Driving Recorder features Mstar 1080p chipset which makes it capable of recording clearly at night. It has a price tag of CNY 349.
Next in line is the Mi Smart Camera that has 130-degree ultra wide angle lens, which can record videos of 1080p resolution at around 20 fps. It supports dual band WiFi and costs CNY 199.
Xiaomi's Mi Smart Scale 2 is just 14.75mm thick and comes with a LED numerical display and can analyze 10 types of physical data. These include weight, BMI, muscle mass, basal metabolism, visceral fat grade, bone mass, water, body fat rate, body size, and body score. This smart weighing scale can upload the weighing data through a companion app as well. The Mi Smart Scale 2 costs CNY 199.
The last two Xiaomi’s products are Mi Router HD and Mi Router Pro. Both devices come with 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Mi Router HD is powered by Qualcomm IPQ8064 network processor, while Mi Router Pro comes with MediaTek MT7621A. T
hey feature 512MB of DDR3 RAM and 256M SLC Nand Flash as well as 4 Omni-directional antennas and MU-MIMO technology. Both routers support USB 3.0, LAN, and WAN ports. The Mi Router HD has a price tag of CNY 1299 while the Mi Router Pro costs CNY 499.
