China PR and Guangzhou R&F FC defender Jiang Zhipeng could be banned from playing for both his club and country after rumors emerged that he is having an affair with another woman.
Jiang, who turned 28 earlier this month, was accused of cheating by his wife, Zhang Zhiyue, who is said to be "furious after posting an outrageous allegation that the international star was cheating on her with alleged mistress Xiao Bing," The Sun reported.

Zhang reportedly wants her husband to get suspended from playing for both the Chinese national football team and Chinese Super League squad Guangzhou R&F as punishment for his alleged extra-marital affairs.
The allegation came in an untimely manner for Jiang, who has recently been criticized for an error during Team Dragon's 0-1 World Cup qualifying loss to Group A leaders Iran at the Azadi Stadium in Tehran on Tuesday.
The Qingdao native's misplaced header led to Iran scoring the lone goal of the game one minute after the restart courtesy of center-forward Mehdi Taremi, according to BBC Sport. Still, Jiang's wife wants to add insult to injury with the cheating accusation.
"I supported him when he was still a poor lad and my mum treated him like her own son. My family even chipped in with 1 million RMB ($145,000) to cover the down payment for his house in Shanghai," Zhang said. "(However) we didn't have a wedding ceremony and our relationship was never made public."
"In nearly three-and-a-half years out of four-year marriage, he was sleeping with other women and now he is trying to drive me to an early grave despite our decades-long relationship," she added.
Zhang directly complained to the Chinese Football Association, requesting to ban her husband from both club and country play.
"Dear Mr. Cai Zhenhua, the head of the Chinese Football Association, I beg you to expel Jiang Zhipeng from the Chinese national football team. Dear Mr. Wang Yuping, director of the Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, I beg you to expel Jiang Zhipeng from Guangzhou R&F," said Zhang in an official letter of request.
