Chinese smartphone manufacturer UMIDIGI has officially unveiled its newest budget-friendly device called the UMIDIGI Crystal. The UMIDIGI Crystal smartphone is currently listed for the price of $99 (683.42 Yuan).

The Crystal smartphone will be available in two models; a Lumia Edition, which will be the pro version, and an all-metal edition that is said to be the first all-metallic unibody all-screen phone. Pre-ordered units will be shipped starting June 15 this year.

The UMIDIGI Crystal smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by MTK Helio P25 chipset paired 4GB of RAM onboard. It comes equipped with a built-in 64GB on internal memory storage.

The UMIDIGI Crystal smartphone is expected to compete with Xiaomi's latest bezel-less smartphone called the Mi Mix. The Mi Mix comes with a bezel-less display. It has a 6.40-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2040 pixels with 362 pixels per inch. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM. It sports a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear panel and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system and is powered by a non-removable 4400mAh capacity battery. It is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. The connectivity options of the device include GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, USB OTG, Infrared, FM, 3G, and 4G LTE networks. It measures 158.80 mm x 81.90 mm x 7.90 mm and weighs 209.00 grams.
