Samsung launched the first Galaxy Note at the IFA 2011 and at the time was criticized as being too large for use.

Samsung's phablet was slowly accepted by its detractors and its sales significantly grew with every new installment. Over three years after the original Galaxy Note was launched, Apple unveiled its first phablet in the form of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.

October is inching closer and pre-orders already started to show for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in spite of a non-definitive release date announcement. It appears that retailers are also excited to bring the newest Samsung phablet to its customers.

Only three areas are receiving pre-order updates. According to Slashgear, the first retailers to announce pre-orders are JD in China and UK Clove.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will reportedly be sold at £479.17 (US$785) or £575 (US$940) with VAT in the UK. According to Clove, stocks will also be available starting Oct. 13.

Retailer JD in China accepts pre-orders for RMB 5,199 (US$847). The pre-order will continue until Sept. 25 when the device will finally be available in-store.

The Galaxy Note 4 will also have an early hit in South Korea. According to GSM Arena, KT, SK Telecom and LG U+ will launch pre-order deals for the Galaxy Note 4 at the end of September.

It's still a month before the Samsung Galaxy Note 4's official release but it already underwent several tests such as one for its display. Consulting Firm DisplayMate reportedly said the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has the best performing smartphone display ever tested.

It said the device has set or matched previous records as regards display color accuracy, contrast, resolution and brightness variation. Other reported improvements include power efficiency.
