Microsoft might offer a free Windows 10 download to IT professionals and computer fans soon. The new Windows 10 operating system is the answer to Window 8, its touch-centric OS that didn't go down well with users.
According to Microsoft, the Windows 10 Technical Preview registration will be opened soon and, based on past history, Microsoft usually opens technical previews at 9:00 a.m. PDT, which is the start of a business day at the Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington.

The latest Windows version brings back a couple of changes to Windows 8 such as the Start menu and improvements in the way apps are displayed. Multitasking enhancements were also added to appeal more to customers that use touchscreen devices and PCs.
Windows 10 also preserved several Windows 8 Metro touches with new usability enhancements that will likely invite desktop and enterprise users back to Windows.
Microsoft warns Windows 10 still has a few bugs because it's still being developed. Joe Belfiore of Microsoft operating systems promises they'll update the OS quickly and get it ready for release in 2015.
The biggest Windows 10 addition is the multitasking feature called Task View for easy switches between desktops and apps.
The feature is familiar to people who are used to Mission Control in OS X. It can be activated through the new Task View button on the task bar.
While Windows 8 was not able to resize apps from the Window Store, Windows 10 brings apps from the Window Store that can be resized, minimized or closed.
