It's still unconfirmed but Google is set to announce the Nexus 6 and the Nexus 9 on the same day. The two devices are powered by the new Android L and will likely be featured on the simultaneous release date.
There are indicators that great things are in store for the Android community in the coming days or weeks. Google recently fixed a Nexus 5 issue bugging users for some time.

According to reports, the Nexus 5 software will be updated soon and some Android L features could be included to address the complaint about its battery. Nexus 6 reportedly has a 3200 mAh battery, a qHD display with 496 ppi and a 2 MP front camera.
Meanwhile, Google's upcoming Nexus tablet called Nexus 9 will arrive with its official launch on Oct. 15 and release on Nov. 3.
According to reports, the retail price for the Nexus 9 is US$399. It's expected to have an ultra high resolution, powered by NVIDIA Tegra K1 system chip.
It is still unclear whether the device will have a quad-core 32-bit K1 chip or a dual-core 64-bit one suitable for the 64-bit Android L. NVIDIA wrote on its blog that hard-core Android enthusiasts should take note it's already developing the Andriod L on the 64-bit Tegra K1.
HTC is said to have built the Nexus 9 with a unibody and metallic case. Some leaks say it uses plastic material and compensates for the disappointment with 2 GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear camera and BoomSound audio speakers.
