(Photo : REUTERS/BASSAM KHABIEH) Residents try to put out a fire at a site after what activists said were two air strikes by forces of Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on a market in central Douma, eastern al-Ghouta, near Damascus September 17, 2014.
The U.S.-led coalition troops intensified the air attacks against the Islamic State militants in Kobani as the rebel group's attacks began to weaken Turkey.
The American-led troops have launched 21 air strikes on the ISIS targets near the Syrian city of Kobani from beginning Monday through Tuesday, which is believed to have slowed the advance of the militant group in the city.

According to the United States military, although the rebels have slowed, the situation can still change.
On Tuesday, U.S. president Barack Obama expressed his concern on regarding the situation in Syria and in Anbar Province in Iraq. The two places have seen intense battle during the Iraq war, and are now in danger of being overrun by the terrorist group.
During a meeting with his senior officers and military leaders from over 21 international allies, including Saudi Arabia and Turkey, Obama said the air strikes will persist in both regions to prevent the militants from taking over the areas.
Syrian Kurds in Kobani also helped in the fight against ISIS, but they say the terrorist group is still advancing despite the coalition's attacks.
According to Kurdish journalist Abdulrahman Gok, who is in Kobani, the air strikes were still ongoing and is being launched all throughout the day.
"Sometimes, they are dropping two bombs at a time, which is a first," he said.
Meanwhile, the clash in Syria is on the verge of undoing the already fragile peace in Turkey, where the capital of Ankara is being criticized by Kurds for refusing to help their relatives in Syria.
The war against the rebels in Kobani has led Kurds to flee the region, a move which led to a clash between 15 million Kurds and resulted in the death of 35 people.
