Google (GOOG) has officially announced the Nexus 9, their newest tablet, which was built in collaboration with HTC. This is HTC's return to the tablet world, after a three-year absence following the heavy financial loss of the HTC Flyer.

The HTC Nexus 9 is built with a metal frame and soft-touch rubber back. The front has rather protruding bezels on the sides so users can hold the tablet without blocking the screen. The Nexus 9 features a 8.9-inch IPS LCD display.
Internally, the HTC Nexus 9 runs on the Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, an incredible mobile processor for graphics and gaming, which is clocked at 2.3GHz. This should offer console-level graphics on the Nexus 9 without any stutter, thanks to the 192-core architecture.
HTC BoomSound has been added to the Nexus 9, offering impressive audio quality for a tablet. The battery size is nothing to marvel at, but it should give the Nexus 9 a good few days without charging, at 6700mAh.
Google is packing a magnetic keyboard with the HTC Nexus 9, allowing users to attach and detach on-the-go. Users will be able to sit the Nexus 9 at different angles and get the same experience, according to Google.
The Nexus 9 is running the new version of Android called 5.0 Lollipop. This adds a new design language called Material Design, which has better notifications and multi-tasking, along with new privacy and security rules to set whenever you feel like it.
Google will add the Nexus 9 on pre-order for October 17, with a release date on November 3. No price has been disclosed by Google, nor in which regions the Nexus 9 will be available.
