Tax returns of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and his wife indicate a significant increase from two years ago with over $200,000 more than the $478,977 they declared in 2012.
According to the documents revealed by Christie's office on Friday, both him and his wife, Mary Pat, made $698,838 last year and paid federal taxes of $193,510.

Reports show that the governor's wife, who had been considered the bigger income-earner in the family, earned $475,854 at a part-time job at Angelo, Gordon & Company in Wall Street.
Aside from the investment advising company, Mary Pat also declared that her former employer Cantor Fitzgerald had paid her $34,698 for a partnership payout for over five years.
Meanwhile, the Republican governor reported that he earned $160,054 taxable income in 2013, as he had always declared for the past years he had served the state of New Jersey.
This is from his gross annual salary of $175,000 which had been deducted every year for his investment to a $401,000 retirement fund.
The 99-page report also revealed that the Christies paid nearly $40,000 worth of property taxes and donated almost $30,000 to charity.
Having four dependent children, the couple's income difference comes to be often a subject of humor to the New Jersey governor who eyes the POTUS seat.
"Listen, I just have three words for you: joint checking account. That money all lands in the same place, baby. It's fine by me," he was quoted by the Associated Press during a speech at a town hall meeting.
The tax return documents were filed at the Internal Revenue Service on Friday after a six-month extension Gov. Christie had constantly requested since he has been seated as the head of the state of New Jersey.
Also filing their tax returns that day were Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno and Michael, her husband who works as a judge. The couple filed $440,897 total taxable earnings which included nearly $300,000 from their salaries.
Deductions to their income included $26,817 in real estate taxes, $19,583 in income taxes and more than $3,000 donated to charity.
