"We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Chris Bale," scriptwriter Aaron Sorkin said when confirming Bale as Steve Jobs with Bloomberg Television. "He didn't have to audition. Well, there was a meeting."

Aaron Sorkin is considered the ideal writer to pen the script about Steve Jobs. He's best known for writing the highly acclaimed film "The Social Network" about Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and for creating the "The West Wing," TV series.

Now Sony is said to be considering Seth Rogen to play the role of Steve Wozniack, Jobs' former partner and creator of the Apple I computer and co-creator of the Apple II computer, in the upcoming film.

Although more notable for his comedy roles in movies like "The Pineapple Express," and "Knocked Up," Seth Rogen has already proved capable of taking on more dramatic roles with his performance in movies like "50/50"

While there are not many details as of yet on which direction the plot of Steve Jobs biopic will take, the film is expected to follow Jobs during the launch of multiple high profile products that has led to the success of where Apple Inc. is today.

The upcoming Steve Jobs movie is set to begin production within the next couple months and will be directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle.
