There were 24 NBA teams battling it out Wednesday night, but the Golden State Warriors stole the spotlight yet again as they crushed the Los Angeles Clippers with a 121-104 win to remain undefeated so far at the start of the season.

It may only be four games into the season, but the Warriors are certainly looking like a title-contending team. The new addition of coach Steve Kerr has the Warriors running more complex and effective set plays that complement "Splash Brothers" Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson much better than Mark Jackson did.

Curry and Thompson alone are averaging a combined 53 points per game, and as a whole the Warriors are averaging nearly 110 points per game. What's more impressive is that the Warriors have had all this success without star forward David Lee who's still having some problems with an aggravated hamstring injury.

But Warriors' efficient three-point shooting and high-flying fast tempo offense isn't the only thing that makes this team great - they're equally as good on the defensive end.

Warriors finished last season having the third-best defense in the league, and they're continuing that defensive prowess this season as well. According to ProBasketballTalk, Golden State has the best defense in the NBA so far this season in terms of opponents' field goal and 3-point percentages.

With the win over the Clippers, Warriors are now among just three teams to remain undefeated. The other two are the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets both with perfect 5-0 starts to the season.

The 5-0 start for the Grizzlies is the first in franchise history, thanks in large part to the inside/outside frontcourt tandem of Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph clicking on all cylinders.

James Harden's 27.2 points per game leads the Houston Rockets' 5-0 start. He may be shooting just 39 percent from the field, but he makes up for it by his knack for getting to the free-throw line. Of the 85 points Harden scored so far, 41 of those points came from free throws.
