Now, after Gomez released the video of her new single, "The Heart Wants What It Wants," the 22-year-old has been on a candid interview with Ryan Seacrest, and the pop star revealed what's really going on right now between her and the Canadian crooner, reports Hollywood Life.
Even after the 20-year-old "Baby" singer has continuously broken Gomez's heart, Selena bravely confessed to Ryan that she will always "support him."
"Is the chapter over?" the 39-year-old radio and TV host frankly asked Selena.
She responded, "I support him [Justin]. I think I always will. I'm upset when he's upset, I'm happy when he's happy. I don't want anything bad ever happen to him. It hurts me. That's all," neither confirming or denying if her relationship with Justin still has a chance in the future.
Ryan also questioned Gomez about marriage, and the former "Disney" star confirmed that she still wants to, "Yeah of course. I want a big ranch in Texas."
Selena also admitted that she and Justin are still speaking to each other, and the Canadian singer was even one of the first people she showed the video to.
"He has heard [the song] and he has seen the video," said Selena.
As for how Justin feels about the emotional video, she said joking, "He thought it was beautiful. I think it was really hard. I think he was a little jealous of the video guy at first."
Justin and Selena - or the fandom named "Jelena" - publicly confirmed their relationship at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in 2011. However, Justin's behaviour has put the pairing on the rocks, with Selena's well-composed veneer constantly put on a challenge.
The "Come & Get It" singer has kept mum about her feeling swhen it comes to people criticising her and her relationship with Justin. The video for her new song which was released Thursday morning, is an unexpected backlash to all the criticism she has received for her decisions.
"Everybody wants to form their own opinions anyway. I think the biggest problem I had this year - even with [Justin] and on his side - is identity," Selena said.
Selena is reportedly set to perform at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Nov. 23. Her new single "The Heart Wants What It Wants" is available for download on iTunes here. Her album, "For You," is set for release Nov. 24.
