(Photo : Reuters) Samsung has lost 11 percent market share in mobile this year alone, with Xiaomi and LG both stepping up as challengers.

Samsung released the Galaxy Note Edge after it marketed the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 early in 2014. Rumors now say the Galaxy S6 is already on its way.

Samsung is said to be working on the Galaxy S5 successor under an effort called "Project Zero." The new handset is reportedly being built from scratch.

The Galaxy S6 concept includes a QHD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels screen resolution, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 octa-core CPU, Adreno 430 GPU, 20 MP rear camera with 4K video capture, heart rate monitor, fingerprint technology and Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system.

According to speculations, Samsung will offer two curved edges displays based on the Galaxy Note Edge's success. If the South Korean tech giant combines these powerful specs with a premium design that can rival the best handsets in the market, Android vendors will be forced to compete with it in the high-end category.

Samsung is said to be pushing for a Galaxy S6 release in March 2015. The company usually releases its smartphones during the Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona every year and the next event will fall n March 2015. This means Samsung will have a narrow time frame between the Galaxy S6's announcement and release.
