Smartphone Case Lets You Print Photos Instantly

(Photo : Prynt) In the age of mobiles, waiting a few days to get a photo printed isn't good enough, which is why Prynt has created a smartphone case with a built-in printer.
In an age when people are taking more photos than ever, it is interesting to see the printer industry continue to decline in sales.
Most of this has to do with the increasing use of digital platforms to share photos, removing the need to print these images out and frame them. However, a Paris-based startup believes there is still a market for printing photos, it just needs to be more accessible to smartphones.

Prynt - the new smartphone case - offers an in-built printer to print photos quickly. The printer fits on the back of the smartphone and doesn't look that jarring.
Users will be able to print up to 30 sheets of paper, before restocking. The developers are committed to dropping print prices from Polaroid prices. The developers will create a companion app to take photos and video. The design of the app will allow the user the option to print the photo or a snapshot of the video, straight from the printer case.
Prynt's case will be compatible with various iOS and Android devices, most on the phablet side. The case already supports the iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy Note 4, two large devices.
Typically, the first time developers announce a project it immediately goes on Kickstarter. The developers for Prynt are holding off on the campaign, until 2015, and will continue to promote Prynt through various media sources until the campaign.
Prynt will also be available to check out at CES 2015 in January, alongside a host of large and small electronics companies vying for event-goers interest. The early cost will be $99 to buy and anyone who misses out on the Kickstarter in 2015 should be able to pick up Prynt (if successful) for $149 later in the year.
