Veteran kickers Jay Feely and Connor Barth will be visiting Denver on Tuesday for a workout and kicking audition with the National Football League's (NFL) Denver Broncos, as reported by multiple sources within the league.

The invitation of the two experienced kickers comes as no real surprise. Brandon McManus, the Broncos' first-year kicker has been mostly inconsistent in his first year with the team.

Now that the Broncos are looking towards a possible spot as Super Bowl contenders, they could definitely use a kicker with experience. The decision to invite Feely and Barth probably came after the game against the Miami Dolphins.

McManus missed a 33-yard field goal attempt that Sunday. Despite the miss, his team won against the Dolphins (39-36). However, in crunch time, those field goal points might not be so trivial to the game.

McManus ranks 31st among the 31 kickers ranked with a 69.2 field goal percentage (9 of 13).

Feely, on the other hand, is 38 years old. He has kicked in 13 NFL seasons for five teams. Most recently, he played for the Arizona Cardinals.

In a 2010 game against the Broncos, Feely managed to score 25 points that led the Cardinals to a 43-13 victory against Eric Studesville's squad. He kicked five field goals, four extra points, and even ran in with a touchdown.

Feely got 30-of-36 in field goals last year, which includes 11-of-12 from 40 to 49 yards, and 3-of-5 kicks of at least 50 yards.

Barth on the other hand is younger than Feely by 10 years, and has kicked in five NFL seasons. He has been playing with Tampa Bay for the past four years.

In the 2012 season, he got 28-of-33 in field goals including 12-of-13 in the 40-49 range and 6-of-9 from 50 yards or more.

Bringing in Feely and Barth though does not mean that the Denver Broncos will be replacing McManus. Head Coach John Fox said they are bringing in guys to look at them, and not with the motive of cutting other players out.
