Andrew Luck just spent his Sunday showing Robert Griffin III how franchise quarterbacks are supposed to play as he leads his Indianapolis Colts with a win against the Washington Redskins (49-27).

The game was a showdown between two top draft picks from 2012. However, the game was far from an interesting contest. It was much more a one-sided game as Luck threw 370 yards and a career-high five touchdowns.

Throughout the whole game, Griffin was on the sidelines and serving as the Redskins' backup.

"We were confident that we could hit some chunk (plays), as we say," Luck said after going 19 of 27. "I think that our tempo helped to get some drives together, but we came in thinking that we had a chance at some big ones."

Aside from turnovers on the Colts' first two series, Luck was flawless for most of the game. He threw touchdown passes of from 30, 3, 48, 73, and 79 yards.

Previously, Luck had finished second to Griffin in voting for the 2011 Heisman trophy and even the 2012 National Football League (NFL) Offensive Rookie of the Year voting. However, he exceeds Griffin this game and adds another milestone to his career.

In the game, Luck has broken Peyton Manning's franchise record for most 300-yard games in one season. Luck already has 10.

He has also become the fifth NFL player since 1970 to win 30 regular-season games in a player's first three seasons.

His quarterback efforts have also landed him on the short list of players to throw for 4,000 yards in two of their first seasons. Before Luck joined, only Manning and Dan Marino had earned this achievement.

Finally, Luck became the first quarterback in Colts history to throw two touchdown passes of 70-plus yards in the same game, and the third Colts quarterback with 30 touchdown passes.
