The suspect, however, was found dead hours after the shooting spree. Police officials identified the gunman as 39-year-old Jody Lee Hunt.

Authorities are also searching for a Ford F-150 extended cab truck 2011 model in connection with the shooting. Officials then warned people to stay vigilant and leave their homes in their own discretion when the suspect was still being hunted.
Hunt was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot on Monday evening in a wooded area at the southern part of Monongalia County. His pick-up truck was also found within the vicinity.
State police spokesman Lt. Michael Baylous said two of the shootings happened in Cheat Lake in the Westover area while the other shootings occurred six miles away from the first shooting.
Two of the victims from Cheat Lake were identified as Sharon Kay Berkshire, 39, and David Frum, 28. Information about the two other victims killed have not yet been released.
According to court documents, Hunt already had a domestic violence case filed against him in Berkshire last month but no protective orders were released.
In a statement, officials said there will be investigators from three jurisdictions involvedin the case and they will piece all the puzzle pieces together in order to find out the details of the deadly shooting.
Hunt is said to be the owner of J&J Towing and Repair LLC of Westover.
Schools were also placed on lockdown but none of the shooting occurred near different campuses in the area. The classes resumed on Monday after the Thanksgiving break despite the incident.
