Although the remastered post-apocalyptic video game "The Last of Us" was released for the PlayStation 4 nearly five months ago, gaming developer Naughty Dog is still pushing out DLCs, with the company announcing the arrival of new multiplayer add-ons.

A part of the downloadable content is going to be some "very visceral, very lethal" Special Executions that have been implemented between nine different weapon categories within the game, which can be purchased for $0.99. Naughty Dog mentioned they needed to remove some sets from the PlayStation 3 version due to memory constraints.

For $2.99, gamers can purchase the new Tactical Weapons Bundle. The bundle consists of new weapons such as the Frontier Rifle, Burst Pistol, Tactical Shotgun and Crossbow. Gamers who'd rather choose only one weapon have the option to individually purchase each weapon for $0.99.

Naughty Dog also offers a Risk Management Survival Skills Bundle for $3.99. The bundle offers the Lone Wolf, which gives gamers who are away from their team temporary survival skills; Second Chance, a skill that gives gamers a free health kit; Jack of All Trades, a skill that offers discounted grab-bag level 1 skills; and Lucky Break, a skill that offers gamers more ammo and crafting ingredients in supply boxes.

In addition, the DLC will include multiple helmet and mask customization options with items such as the Viking Hat, Outlaw Mask, Broken Gas Mask, Ballistic Helmet and many more for $6.99. The game developer mentioned gamers can purchase these items individually as well, and the price varies depending on the item.

"All this fantastic content will be available when the PlayStation Store updates in your region," Naughty Dog said in its announcement. "Fire up The Last of Us or The Last of Us Remastered and have some post-pandemic, holiday fun this December."
