Microsoft has confirmed the second Windows 10 event will take place in Redmond, Washington on January 21.
The event will cover all of the new features expected in the 2015 OS update, scheduled to be the first Windows update with new CEO Satya Nadella in charge.

Microsoft's first event in San Francisco went over some of the key new features coming to Windows 10, alongside announcing the Developer Preview for testers.
The key features announced at the event included the redesigned Start Menu, two new multi-screen views for power users and Metro apps in desktop mode.
There are still quite a few features Microsoft has not fully explained, like how it plans to implement Windows 10 into phones and tablets. At the San Francisco event, vice president of operating system's Terry Myerson claimed Windows 10 would be for all screens.
Microsoft also has a new touch interface it will reportedly show off at the event in January. Surface Pro 3 sales have more than doubled in the past year, but Windows Phone is continuing to lose ground, meaning Microsoft needs to focus on all markets.
Price is another factor Microsoft has not unveiled yet, with rumors saying it will be free for some users, and there may be an even larger split between the consumer and enterprise edition.
Following the failure of Windows 8 and 8.1, not reaching over 20 percent market share in three years, Microsoft needs Windows 10 to succeed. Having one OS and one store should be a good move to bring customers into the Windows ecosystem.
Microsoft should also have a big Xbox update at the January event, potentially showing a Windows 10 style OS for the gaming platform.
