Anti-police sentiments were put into action on Saturday night beyond protests when a Brooklyn gunman shot to death two New York Police Department (NYPD) officers while seated in their squad car.
That angle is being considered the motive behind the shootout because the gunman, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, is believed to be the Instagram user by the name of "I'm Putting Wings on Pigs Today," who made reference in his post to two black men killed by white cops that sparked violent riots in key cities in the U.S., reports Fox News.

Avenging the death of Michael Brown and Eric Garner appears to be the reason why Brinsley pulled the trigger on Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos who were rushed to a hospital after the shooting, but were declared dead on arrival.
New York Police Commissioner William Bratton disclosed at a news conference that the gunman opened fire several times, with the bullets hitting both cops on the head. They were shot with no warning and no provocation, he said.
After killing the two officers, Brinsley, 28, shot himself to death. His corpse was found near a subway station.
The decision of the Missouri grand jury not to charge white officer Daren Wilson in the death of Brown triggered violent protests initially in the state, which spread to other U.S. cities. During these protest marches, several cops were assaulted or attacked.
The death of the two NYPD cops angered civil rights activist Rev. AL Sharpton, who said in a statement, "Any use of the names of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, in connection with any violence or killing of police, is reprehensible and against the pursuit of justice in both cases."
Bratton commented, quoted by CNN, "One of the unfortunate realities of policing is that you put that blue uniform on and you become part of the thin blue line between us and anarchy."
The question now that observers of the anti-police sentiments are asking is if New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio would visit the funeral of Ramos and Liu since he reportedly is not welcome anymore in funerals of cops due to the perception that he supports the anti-police protests.
