(Photo : Reuters Pictures ) Director, Ridley Scott and actor, Christian Bale sat down with Entertainment Weekly at the SiriusXM Town Hall to discuss about their current movie "Exodus: Gods and Kings" and their future projects.
The movie Exodus: Gods And Kings which stars Christian Bale as Moses, has been banned in Egypt due to, "historical inaccuracies."
Based on the Bible's Old Testament, it depicts Jews building pyramids and the split of Red sea by Moses' miracle.
These were also the particular scenes which were emphasized and concluded as inaccurate by Egyptian authorities.

According to the censorship board, an earthquake caused the Red sea to part and not a miracle by Moses. This was not deemed as historically accurate.
In the book of Exodus, the Jewish slaves were led to freedom by Moses. Moses, as depicted in the bible, was a Jew who was found in a basket near the river bank.
He was raised by Egyptian royalty but in a turn of events he became someone sent by God to free his own people.
It was also depicted in Exodus that God sent a series of plagues in Egypt and the pyramids existed before the story started.
The biblical epic cost approximately 140 million dollars to produce. Despite mixed reviews, it scooped in 24.5 million dollars on its first day of release.
According to Time Magazine, it was described as, "cinematically uninspired retelling of Moses story" and New York Times called it "both woefully insufficient and much too much."
The director, Ridley Scott has been called by critics as someone whose career is uneven as the movie. He was also the director of another epic movie, the Gladiator.
Scott has directed Exodus in honor of his brother Tony Scott, who had committed suicide two years ago.
