Jeb Bush has yet to confirm his candidacy in the 2016 Presidential elections but his fellow Republicans have voted for him in a poll, making him the frontrunner for their party for the said post.

Jeb Bush, the son of the 41st President George H.W. Bush and the brother of the 43rd president of the United States, is coming in really strong as he was the top choice during a CNN/ORC poll that was executed just days after he announced that he was actively exploring running for the said post.

Among the Republicans who took the poll, 23 percent supported Bush making him have ten points ahead of his possible closest contender also from the Republicans, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. As for the Democrats, Hillary Clinton finished as the top choice.

Also gaining support from the Republicans are Ben Carson of Maryland, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. As for the Democrats, they are also showing support for Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts who came in second.

Bush has been leading in the polls ever since November this year when he got 14 percent support from his fellow Republicans when Mitt Romney was not in the mix. However, when Romney was in the options, Bush was the third choice with only nine percent of the support while Romney got 20 percent.

In the latest poll, however, Romney was also not included in their options but the voters were given the ability to volunteer his name if they wanted to support him for the upcoming 2016 Presidential elections.

Bush's recent lead is quite significant since the percentage of people supporting him is much higher than the margin of error of the poll. The survey was conducted on December 18 to 21 and there were 453 Republicans who took part while there were 469 Democrats who participated.

The poll also asked what might be the weaknesses of Bush and the answers that turned up included information about his position on immigration as well as his support for the Common Core education standards.
