Apple Launching Three iPhone Models In 2015

(Photo : Reuters) Apple is looking to fix some of the underlining performance issues on iOS 9.
Apple might launch three smartphones in 2015, the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6S Mini, changing the smartphone market once again.
In 2013, Apple launched two iPhones in one year, the 5S and 5C, and in 2014 Apple launched the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, removing the 4-inch model from its range.

The 4-inch model may return in 2015, in the form of the iPhone 6S Mini. The naming convention follows Samsung, HTC and other Android providers offering 'Mini' versions of the current flagship.
Even though Apple's sales in 2014 broke previous records, some customers still want the smaller design, and find even the iPhone 6's 4.7-inch display to be too much of a size upgrade.
Considering third-party developers still design apps for the 4-inch screen, it would not be too outlandish to bring back the 4-inch iPhone, considering almost all older apps run on that specific screen size.
The iPhone 6S Mini will fit with the aesthetic on the iPhone 6, and even though it will be a "low-end" device compared to the other two iPhones in 2015, it will still feature the aluminium design.
Internally, the iPhone 6S Mini should feature a low-end version of the new A9 chip. It should also feature the same screen resolution as the iPhone 6, while the iPhone 6S gets an upgrade to full HD in 2015.
Apple will drop the iPhone 5C, its plastic smartphone that has been deemed a failure by many analysts. The iPhone 5S will take its place on the bottom of the Apple Store at $0 down on contract, and the iPhone 6S Mini will be available for $99 on contract.
It is a smart move to make sure there is a full range of smartphones available on the Apple Store in 2015, where last year Apple had to bring two older devices to fill the store.
Apple may even continue the iPhone 5C with a few internal upgrades, to make even more profit per sale on the smartphone, and discontinue the iPhone 5S instead - it is still unclear.
