Nexus and Google Play Edition users were able to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update early but it also meant that they had to deal with problems and bugs.
Google claimed the update went through extensive testing and an initial developer preview release, but the update still had several issues. From the first Android 5.0 version, Google already released two updates to fix the problems.

The Android 5.0.1 update was released to the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. The Android 5.0.2 was also released for the Nexus 7 2012. The 5.0.1 was reportedly plagued by serious problems, however.
Google announced it's already working on an update and while waiting, users can also restore the OS to stock version and install Lollipop once issues are fixed.
Google still needs to finish the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to providers and more information about the upgrade for smartphones has been announced. Just like previous Android releases, the latest upgrade is expected to be done in stages. While waiting, users may download and install the zip files below:
- Nexus 9 - download LRX21L > LRX21R
- Nexus 6 - 5.0 (LRX21O) -> 5.0.1 (LRX22C)
- Nexus 5 - 5.0 -> 5.0.1: hammerhead LRX22C from LRX21O
The latest Android 5.0 Lollipop is also said to be aesthetic just like the iOS 8 with an even wider range of options for its users. One of the top advantages of Android over Apple is its ability to choose and modify.
Android 5.0 Lollipop has a new user interface called Material Design UI executed across all Google services and apps with third party app compatibility programmed by developers. It also offers the Project Volta battery tool, OpenGL ES 3.1 and Runtime.
The guest mode allows users to configure their devices to allow access only to certain data and apps when the phone is being used by anyone who doesn't own the device. The functionality prevents other users from changing settings.
