When LG G3 users first received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, the LG G2 was not included. However, recent reports claim that the G2 will also receive the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update.
According to leaked videos, the LG G2 has been seen running Android Lollipop, and one of the two videos showed the G2 device installed with the latest Lollipop version. Another video showed its G2 Korean version shortly afterward. LG introduced its new custom UI version and Lollipop update but unfortunately, the company hasn't confirmed the G2 Android 5.0 Lollipop update yet.

Google already released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to the Nexus line but other Android smartphone makers still have to release the new OS version. The Android 5.0 Lollipop for HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 were previously set to get the program but release was delayed. According to reports, it will be launched last year but no specific dates were finalized.
HTC is said to delay the Android Lollipop update to its GPe 2014 variants, which were supposed to receive the update way back in early November. However, the release process was postponed due to bugs and rescheduled at a later date.
HTC postponed it indefinitely as Google was forced to delay the firmware release. HTC Product Management VP Mo Versi apologized on his Twitter account, saying the delay was unexpected due to an unforeseen issue on GPE. He said the team is already addressing it with high priority and users can expect a quick fix.
The latest Android 5.0 Lollipop is also said to be aesthetic just like the iOS 8 with an even wider range of options for its users. One of the top advantages of Android over Apple is its ability to choose and modify.
Android 5.0 Lollipop has a new user interface called Material Design UI executed across all Google services and apps with third party app compatibility programmed by developers. It also offers the Project Volta battery tool, OpenGL ES 3.1 and Runtime. The guest mode allows users to configure their devices to allow access only to certain data and apps when the phone is being used by anyone who does not own the device. The functionality prevents other users to change settings.
