(Photo : Bioware) Dragon Age: Inquisition has been awarded game of the year, beating Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor at the DICE 2015 game awards.
Dragon Age: Inquisition took home the award for 'Game of the Year' at the D.I.C.E Awards in Las Vegas, adding to its already large wall of acclaim for the third in the series.
Bioware claims it is back on track with its series, even though some old time Dragon Age fans found the new game to delve too far into the MMO-style of games, focused too much on long quests and grinding.

This is but a small opinion however, considering the majority of users found it to be the best in series and a pleasure to play. It also came in a year when not many great games launched, with Ubisoft's multiple failures.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Far Cry 4, Destiny and Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft were all in the mix for game of the year. Even though Destiny got a bad wrap, people who played the game seemed to enjoy the experience.
Even though Dragon Age: Inquisition won game of the year, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor picked up the most awards, including:
-
Adventure game of the year,
-
Outstanding Character (Talion),
-
Outstanding Achievement In Animation,
-
Outstanding Technical Achievement,
-
Outstanding Achievement In Story,
-
Outstanding Innovation In Gaming,
-
Outstanding Achievement In Game Design.
In 2015, we expect to see even more competition with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Tom Clancy: The Division, Batman: Arkham Knight, No Man's Sky, The Order: 1886, Star Wars: Battlefront and hopefully something new from both Bethesda Softworks and Rockstar Games.
