She tweeted that it was another senseless violent act that resulted in the death of a "great guy," adding she was "so sad."
Authorities said the two victims - ages 26 and 29 - were attacked in the vicinity of a bar in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane area.
Police said the 29-year-old sustained several stab wounds and he was declared dead moments after he arrived at a hospital. The 26-year-old is in critical condition after he was stabbed in the arm and the left side of his body.
The two victims were rushed to the hospital by car before authorities arrived at the Che' Bar and Grill, said police.
Investigators said a quarrel ensued when an unidentified man began a heated argument with the victims in the bar at around 2 in the morning. The man pulled a knife and stabbed the victims once they went out of the bar.
Authorities are did not identity the homicide victim and the second victim until their families were informed of their situation.
Tips that will lead to an arrest and conviction in any Philadelphia homicide case will earn a US$20,000 reward.
Minaj's tour starts March 16 in Europe, according to an announcement on her website. She is known for such hits as "Bang Bang" -- her pop song with Ariana Grande and Jessie J -- and "Anaconda."
