Amal Alamuddin-Clooney, more popularly known as George Clooney's better half, earns a teaching position in Columbia Law School this coming spring, according to Yahoo Celebrity News.

"It is an honor to be invited as a visiting professor at Columbia Law School alongside such a distinguished faculty and talented student pool," says Mrs. Clooney, also a British barrister, in an official statement.

"I look forward to getting to know the next generation of human rights advocates studying here," she further added.

Amal has a specialization in international law and human rights, she will lecture as a senior fellow in Columbia Law School's Human Rights Institute.

Amal's previous work experience make her credentials more inclined to teaching.

She served as Kofi Annan's senior adviser when he was a U.S. envoy to Syria and also served as a legal representative to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange in the extradition proceedings.

Her extensive experience advocating before U.N. and regional human rights mechanisms complements our existing offerings and will enrich the experience of our students," says Professor Sarah H. Cleveland. Amal will do her lecture during the professor's course.

"Amal Clooney's dedication to public service and her diverse human rights litigation experience will inspire and guide our students as they learn how to use the law to advance social justice. We are thrilled to welcome her to Columbia Law School's community of international scholars, practitioners and students," says Professor Sarah Knuckley, who will teach alongside Amal as well.

Clooney, who is a graduate of both Oxford and NYU, is the prime choice for the teaching position.

Amal and George recently moved to New York City.

Mr. Clooney is currently filiming his upcoming film, Money Monster while Mrs. Clooney is definitely not the type to stay at home and be idle.

This comes as no surprise when George refers to his wife as the 'smart one' in marriage.
