'My Wife Is A Cheater' Found Painted On Wall Of Burning House In Colorado

The words "My wife is a cheater" were found spray painted on the wall of a burning house in Denver, Colorado, prompting officials to think that a broken-hearted husband set the house on fire.

William Lindauer, 31, was booked by police and was charged with first degree arson. No other information was revealed by the police officials and the investigation is still ongoing, according to a report published by the Toronto Sun.

Fire fighters responded to the reports of the neighbors that they heard an explosion near the home on Tuesday. The said residence was then engulfed with flames when the authorities arrived, the report said.

According to Deanna Harrington, the spokeswoman for the Arvada Fire Protection District, the officials arrived at 1:30 in the morning and saw the fire growing more intense. The flames came from the front and back of the home.

"Flames were coming from both the front and back of the structure, and crews had to use a defensive strategy," said Harrington.

The fire fighters also saw the message scrawled in capital letters on two sides of the burning home. There were no reported injuries or deaths in the incident, the report relayed.

The officials who responded to the crime scene found debris in the front yard of the home and in the street. Because of this, they inferred that the explosion might have come from the inside of the house.

The internal part of the house was heavily damaged by the explosion, the Toronto Sun reported.
