Asus has launched a new Chromebook form factor.
Asus is the latest PC manufacturer to launch a new Chromebook, this time changing the form factor to a new convertible style netbook.
Similar to Lenovo's YOGA notebooks, Asus' Chromebook Flip features a 360 degree rotating hinge. This feature allows users to turn the netbook into a tablet, make the keyboard a stand or create a hut for watching movies.

The Chromebook Flip features a 10.1-inch HD (1366 x 768) display along with a 2 GHz Rockchip processor, 4 GB of RAM and 16 GB of on-board storage. Asus claims the netbook will feature 10 hours of battery life.
It will be released later in the year to coincide with the release of Chrome 42, which offers more touchscreen optimization. This is one of the first Chromebooks to feature a touchscreen. The Chromebook Flip goes on sale for $249.
Asus also launched a new Chromebit, a USB stick capable of turning any display into a computer. Google believes this is the answer to old unused displays in classrooms, giving them a new life as a Chrome OS provider.
The Chromebit features 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of SSD storage, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and a HDMI port to plug-in to most displays. No word on the processor inside although it should be able to handle Chrome OS.
Chromebit will be available later this year for $100.
