Jung Yong Hwa, Korean band CN Blue's frontman, collaborated with Singapore's JJ Lin on his first solo album, according to Asia One.
Lin and Jung collaborated on a song titled, 'Checkmate'.
Both wrote the lyrics together but Jung created the melody for the song.
The singers already knew each other way back when Lin was in attendance for CN Blue's concert a few years ago. They kept in touch ever since and Jung admires Lin's excellent workmanship as an entertainer in the music industry.

"Working with JJ Lin is always fun and energetic," said Jung.
Jung and Lin performed 'Checkmate' on Music Bank, a Korean TV program.
As a sign of their close bond, the two singers exchanged gifts. Lin gave headphones to four of CN Blues' members.
Jung expresses that he selected the black colored headphones as 'first dibs'. Lin, in return received red ginseng as a gift from Jung. Aside from the energy boosting ginseng, Lin enjoyed Jung's treat of Korean street food.
Jung, idolized by millions of fans throughout the world, reveals that fan antics are not new to him. The Korean star reveals his own set of antics, such as sneaking backstage into the Girl's Generation concert when he was still a teenager.
"I wanted to say hello to the members and tried to enter the backstage area but was stopped by a guard," said Jung, in an interview with Life!
Jung definitely doesn't need to sneak in anymore to see the Girls' Generation in person since achieving fame in CN Blue last 2009.
Jung became temporarily 'married' "Working with JJ Lin is always fun and energetic,"
