Amid controversy and criticism, Jay Z insisted that Tidal will stay afloat. The rapper elucidated that even 'iTunes was not built in a day' and further justified that Spotify even took 9 years before it reached its success.

Tidal, under a new ownership, still has to unleash its own potential. Jay Z pointed out that Tidal can provide the fans the music that they want without requiring a third party for a distributorship. A 75% percent of shares will go to the artists and nothing else.

Jay Z justified that Tidal's main objective is to provide something more than music. It promises the user a lot of perks such as videos, exclusive concerts, early booking of tickets and even live sports. The rapper went on to declare that Tidal has already garnered more 770,000 subscribers in less than a month.

"We are here for the long haul. Please give us a chance to grow and be better," said the rapper.

Though it was only a matter that the 'Hard Knock Life' singer would initiate a concert supporting his latest venture.

The method for earning the concert tickets is for users to create a playlist and post it on Twitter at the same time with the hashtag #TIDALXJAYZ. Entries should be made before the deadline on May 8.

Winners are randomly chosen by the basis of the diversity of songs in the playlist. It will also depend on the genre as well.
