Hong Kong star Daniel Chan announced that he and his wife Wang Yuxian will expect another daughter in August, according to Asian Pop News.

The 39 year old actor welcomed his first born daughter, Kathelyn Chan, last July 2014. 

Barely 6 months later, Mrs. Chan announced that she was pregnant with their second daughter and its due date will be on August.

Initially, Chan and Wang were in denial of a second child. Wang had to take the pregnancy test 4 times before they confirmed the pregnancy.

The speculation of a second child began when the couple attended a fashion event in Hong Kong last January.

Wang focused her attention more on her stomach and Chan didn't leave his wife's side for the rest of the night. 

"It's a girl too. Suddenly I'm overwhelmed with stress," said Chan.

When the actor was asked if the reason for the stress was the disappointment that his offspring was not a son, Chan immediately clarified that it was not the main reason. 

The actor revealed that he and his wife were first time parents and they found it tedious to adjust to their family life.

Chan further added that he worries that he might able to teach his children properly since they themselves are also trying to learn.

Chan also explained that their family doesn't insist on having a son.

The actor expressed that most daughters tend to have a high affinity towards their fathers. 

Since the second daughter will be born in the year of the goat, Chan decided to affectionately give the nickname of 'Yang Yang'.

The Chinese and Christian name is still left to be decided by the couple.
