EXO's Chinese member Huang Zi Tao updated his social networking accounts after almost a month of silence amidst controversies regarding his alleged departure from EXO.

It has been close to a month since Huang Zi Tao, more popularly known among EXO fans as Tao, kept his silence regarding issues about his reported departure from the group. However, the idol speaks up through vague messages and an Instagram post to update his fans, who are still confused about his status.

On May 2, Huang Zi Tao attended his birthday event in Beijing which was hosted by his largest China fan base, BaiduTaoBar and has subsequently posted a photo on his official Instagram account with a caption.

"Everyone, thank you for being with me. I am so thankful for those who believe in me and I love you... Thank you," said Tao.

Although Huang Zi Tao did not state any clarifications regarding his status, many fans were happy to get an update.

In addition, it was also reported that during his birthday event, Huang Zi Tao became emotional and shed tears as he thanked his fans for their support. The 22-year old EXO member also rented a theater in Beijing for his fans to celebrate his debut as an actor in the film "You Are My Sunshine."

During the event, several fan accounts reported that Tao expressed his wish to become an action star and allegedly expressed that he would not mind all the hate comments being thrown at him.

One user wrote that Huang Zi Tao asked for his fans to give him time before he makes a comeback.

Furthermore, Tao also wrote a message on Weibo, saying, "I cherish the memories of the past very much, but I look forward to the future even more."

After Huang Zi Tao uploaded his message, many fans speculated that the idol was already allegedly moving on from being an EXO member while others argued that the meaning of his vague posts are not yet certain.
