"Nintendo has decided to deploy its video game business on smart devices, but it is not because we have lost our passion or vision for the business of dedicated video game systems. On the contrary, because now we have come to hold an even stronger passion and vision for the dedicated video game system business than before." Iwata's statement, during the announcement of new releases.
The games are still in progress. During a Q&A, Satoru Iwata, the company president, was asked when will the development of the games begin and who will lead it.
"Regarding the individual video game titles, when it will be launched, we will be making the announcement when each of those games are ready," Iwata responded. "At least, however, we believe that there is no mean of collaboration if we can't launch anything, at least once, or some sort of output within this year. Also, per game title, regarding the roles of each companies will differ depending on games." He added.
Many video gamers are excited for the release by the end of the year, wanting to know what Nintendo has in store for them.
