Electronic Arts' recently published quarterly financial presentation hinted that the sequel to the 2008 first-person parkour video game "Mirror's Edge" is set to be released early in 2016. The report also included that a new "Need For Speed" game is in the works.
"Mirror's Edge" was created by EA's DICE studios which is also responsible for the "Battlefield" series. The sequel to the game was first announced during the 2014 E3 but EA has kept the game's development stage under the radar. Although the game was not a huge financial success, it has managed to create a cult following that has been rising steadily over the years.

"Mirror's Edge" puts players into the role of Faith. A free-runner working as a courier on foot that deliver messages for people who wants to avoid using standard communication medium like telephones and email. The game is set in a utopian world maintained through a totalitarian dictatorship.
According to Gadgets, fans of the "Mirror's Edge" game can expect the sequel to be released sometime between January and March 2016. If this is true, it will be released along with the new "Plants vs. Zombies" game.
The financial report from EA also gave some insight about the current developmental status of the new "Need For Speed" game. The new addition to the widely successful racing game was dubbed "Need For Speed: No Limits." According to Engadget, the game is set to be released on Nov. 17 which will coincide with the release of another highly anticipated video game, "Star Wars Battlefront."
The new "Need For Speed" game was created by Sweden-based developer Ghost Games. Rumor has it that most of the staff of Ghost Games were ex-employees of Criterion, the developer of "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit" and the "Burnout" series.
The upcoming "Need For Speed" game will be released with another version specifically made for the mobile platform.
