The "Avatar 2" movie has been constantly reported to be released in theatres soon. Although, it has been moved again to a later date, with four sequels plotted for the film, a 2017 premiere schedule is very feasible for the James Cameron's film masterpiece, said reports.

At present, the much awaited "Avatar 2" sequel is scheduled for "Christmas 2017." It was reported to be released in 2014, however, it did not happen.  The film "Avatar" stays as the top grossing film ever done. Although, it did not take advantage of producing a sequel right away after the success of the first film, its director decided to invest enough time to create a sequel for it, resulting to a second sequel, third and a speculated fourth to complete the series.

Time reported that the three film sequels were already being  developed for the "Avatar." The good news is the scriptwriters were able to create a story and script enough for four films; therefore making a speculation of having "Avatar 5" possible.

The talent of James Cameron is well-trusted and assures success for "Avatar" sequels. This box-office and talent topping ability is making him brushes off the delayed release of the film.  Furthermore, according to Screenrant, Cameron said that a part of "Avatar 2" and "Avatar 3" will be given to the environmental causes aiming to save the environment, thinking that the first movie earned $2.7 billion in the international box office.

The release date of "Avatar 2" will be on Christmas 2017, while "Avatar 3" and "Avatar 4" is set for 2018 and 2019 release. The speculated "Avatar 5" movie will possibly be released for premiere on 2020. The second instalment of the "Avatar," will be shot in New Zealand and will focus on a saga of sorts. This saga is anticipated to be connected in the four movie sequels.
