President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Russia plans to have army training exercises with other countries as the land forces of Russia will join China, India, Mongolia and Belarus in a joint military training exercise series this year.
The joint military training exercises will focus on peace-keeping and anti-terrorist activities. Moreover, the announcement of the army training exercises will move unease in the Western capitals, according to Reuters.

The announcement issued by Putin as he met the top military brass of Russia in the Black Sea will stir the West. It can be noted that the relationship between Moscow and the Western capitals had decline because of the Ukraine crisis.
The army training exercises between Russia, China, India and other countries has become one of the ties of Russia as it continues to build ties with Asian giants including close economic ties. In 2014, the United States and European Union imposed sanctions on Russia over the annexation of the Crimean region of Ukraine by Russian Federation.
In Saturday, President Xi Jinping of China and President Pranab Murkherjee of India joined Putin in Moscow for a military parade for the 70th anniversary of the allied victory in the Second World War, according to Yahoo News. Moreover, China invited Russian military troops for a parade in Beijing in September and last week, a $25 billion deal was signed between China and Russia to increase the lending of China to Russian firms.
Military troops from the members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (ODKB) are also planning for military training exercises. The members of the ODKB which will take part of Russia's army training exercise plan include the Russian Federation as well as Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
