In what is being called a sheer display of good game and great energy by Juventus, Real Madrid was unable to defend its Championship title as former Madrid starlet Alvaro Morata scored winning goal!

When the Juventus played against Real Madrid at Bernabeu, expectations were high on both sides. While the Italian champion was keen to prove its mettle, Real Madrid wanted to defend its Championship title. However, with their excellent game and energy on the field, Juventus managed to pull the game into a draw ensuring that Real Madrid's hope of regaining the Championship title this year are washed down the drain. Juventus will now face Barcelona in the final game, according to the reports on Nytimes.

The star player of the match was Alvaro Morata. Morata is a former Madrid player who was discarded by his club in spite of playing a crucial role in winning the European cup. Currently playing for Juventus, Morata's game helped his team to seal their seat in the finals. However, this is not the first time that Morata made his former club regret their decision of not taking him. As soon as the game opened, Morata helped his team score the opening goal which was a big morale booster. He continued to remain in form and scored the winning goal as well.

According to reports on Fox Sports, Morata even commented on his performance and the team's victory saying that they had all worked very hard to win the match and are keen to continue the winning streak by claiming the Championship title as well. Additionally, Morata also declined celebrating his feat openly indicating that he could still have sentiments for his former team.

Sometime ago, Real Madrid sold Morata to the Juventus for 30 million dollars and after this game they could be regretting their decision bitterly.
