Meet Orgrim Doomhammer – The Star of the Upcoming 'Warcraft' Movie From Legendary Pictures

Legendary Pictures has just released a still picture and a close-up of Orgrim the fearsome Warchief of the Orcish Horde from the upcoming "Warcraft" movie.

In the movie, Orgrim is played by actor Robert Kazinsky in which the director Duncan Jones believes that he will make a believable Orcish warchief.  Still, the Orgrim we see is a CGI creation by the people at Industrial Light and Magic, wherein they based the image on the "World of Warcraft" concept arts of the same character. The images of the "WoW" character and Kazinsky were then merged to create a realistic looking Orc Warlord.

Jones claimed that by 2017, the upcoming "Warcraft" film will feature the most realistic CGI orcs warriors that movie audiences will ever see. The people that designed Orgrim are the same one who portrayed a sad looking Hulk in the latest Avenger movie - "Age of Ultron." The director said that today's technology gives film makers like him the power to create new movie characters from scratch.

Blizzard and Legendary Pictures announced the production of a movie based on "Warcraft" several years ago, and after the initial fanfare, both companies gave little update on the progress of the film, which led fans debating if the announced "Warcraft" movie will ever be shown on the big screen.

The upcoming Warcraft movie is based on the popular video game series called "World of Warcraft." Created by Blizzard Entertainment, it is an online multi-player game with more than a million paying subscribers.

Legendary Pictures is expected to release "Warcraft" on June 10, 2016 while the film producer is hoping that legions of eager Warcraft fans will turn this movie into a summer blockbuster next year.
