Martial arts superstar Jackie Chan once again fell victim to a celebrity death hoax, which alarmed friends and fans.
Rumors that Jackie Chan star has passed away started making their rounds on Facebook and Twitter, with many social media users posting and offering their condolences. However, the 61-year old actor, who just recently attended the premiere of the satirical sci-fi comedy movie "PK" in China, immediately took to his official Facebook page to prove that he is alive and well.

"I was shocked by the reports when I got off the plane," Jackie Chan's post read. "First of all, do not worry! I am still alive."
Jackie Chan then told fans to not believe another Weibo account under his name. He said the account he is posting from is his official Facebook page and that he has only one official page on Weibo.
Jackie Chan's Facebook post has been shared thousands of times and has over 70,000 likes.
Back in 2013, Jackie Chan's fans were shocked when reports claimed that he died while shooting a film in Kitzbühel, Austria but cleared up the rumors when he made a guest appearance on the "Arsenio Hall Show."
A lot of celebrities have become victims of these death hoaxes including Bill Cosby, Robert Pattinson, Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon, Phil Collins, Denzel Washington, Adele, Lady Gaga, Margaret Thatcher and even Kris Jenner.
A death hoax which involved the Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker also circulated on the Internet on the eve of his actual death in a car accident in Los Angeles.
Aside from Jackie Chan, award-winning actor Morgan Freeman also has been a victim of the death hoax multiple times. Though he is amused by the false stories, the fact that the stories keep popping up prompted the 77-year old to personally address the rumors in an attempt to finally put an end to them.
