Tim Tebow's former Denver Broncos teammate Eric Decker is all out in saying that the prized quarterback has got what it takes to thrive in Philadelphia and stay in the NFL, as reported by CBS Sports' Sean Wagner-McGough.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound former Florida Gator has recently signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Really, (Tebow) can create his own role. I know he wants to be head quarterback, but he can create a role for himself that can help a team in many ways," Decker said in an interview with The New York Daily News. He also said that his former buddy has the athleticism to play many positions on the field, and head coach Chip Kelly will be able to use him to make the Eagles better.

Decker, currently a New York Jets wide receiver, played with Tebow for two seasons as a Bronco. They were teammates during Denver's incredible 2011 playoff run, when they made the postseason and Tebow led them to victory against the Pittsburg Stealers in the first round, so he certainly knows what he is talking about.

With the recent rule change that the NFL implemented regarding PAT, Decker expects his former teammate to excel even more.

Tebow is known for running the ball as a quarterback rather than passing, and with the current change geared towards encouraging teams to go for more two-point conversions, he is primed to be the league's first ever two-point specialist, according to The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta.

The Eagles has a deep quarterback lineup consisting of Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, and Matt Barkley, which are all highly-skilled so Tebow is not expected to play his preferred position entering the season.

But Decker still believes in him.
