Kim Soo Hyun is not only a hot property in his native country, South Korea, but he also enjoys the same status in China. Therefore, it does not come as a surprise that his Chinese fans did not mind paying a huge amount to meet him.

The actor, who is currently starring in Korean drama "The Producers," was in Shenzhen, China on May 20. He was reportedly there to attend a Taki promotional event held at Intercontinental Hotel. According to Soompi, the Chinese media is abuzz with the news that scalpers sold the tickets of Soo Hyun's fan meeting for as high as USD 3,200. The event reportedly lasted for 45 minutes and theme of the event was "Confession Day."

 Soo Hyun gained huge fan following in China after he starred in Korean drama "My Love from the Star." The show gained cult status in the country and the actor, who played the role of an alien, became one of the most popular Korean actors in China. As previously reported, the broadcasting rights of Soo Hyun's new drama "The Producers" have been sold to Chinese online platform for $2.4 million plus.

Meanwhile, at the event in Shenzhen, Soo Hyun introduced himself, saying "Hello everyone, I am Kim Soo Hyun." Soompi reported the fans' responded with loud cheers and applause.  He talked about his new role in "The Producers" and said that he is visiting after completing half of the film. 

"I am currently playing the role of a clumsy rookie producer in the drama 'Producer," Soon Hyun, as quoted by Soompi. "Being here in China and meeting you all after having completed roughly half of the filming has left me a little dazed."

The episode one and episode two of "The Producers have recorded 10.1 percent and 10.3 percent ratings, respectively. Before the premiere of the drama, The Korea Times has quoted Soo Hyun as saying, "I tried to relax and feel less burdensome in this piece. Through 'The Producers,' I was able to act more naturally, like myself."
