Sony Computer Entertainment recently announced that it will be releasing the PS4-exclusive horror game "Until Dawn", for both North American (August 25) and European (August 26) markets. Gamers in the U.K. and Ireland will get to buy the game much later, on August 28. With the release date's announcement, game stores are already beginning to display the box art on their shelves.

Originally a PlayStation Movie title, made available for the PS3, "Until Dawn" has been reintroduced for the PS4 as a game built around player choice, which dictate the fate of characters within the game's storyline. "Until Dawn" has multiple plot branches that compels players to go through the game over and over again just to see how the story will change depending on the actions they make. This makes for an excitingly different experience with every replay.

"Until Dawn" is basically a video game version of a slasher film that combines the horrors of having a psychotic killer on the prowl, and the survival elements of having a snostorm ravage through the locality, trapping characters within their mountaintop locale.

The new PS4 exclusive "Until Dawn" allows gamers to play as all eight characters as they become unwitting witnesses and victims of horrendous crimes. Fans of the horror game genre are confident that the game will provide realistic blood and gore elements, thanks to the collaboration of horror experts Larry Fessenden and Graham Reznick. These two have been successfully bringing indie horror movies into big screen fame for a long time.

How the players act, whom they choose to play as, and every in-game decision they make will affect the game in unique ways. This is not just a simple tunnel experience with a pre-destined ending based on certain trigger events, either. Instead, the game actually adapts to the player's decisions, so that is not only the end, but the gameplay itself becomes a different experience every time.
