In what could lead to a significant change in the world of online shopping ,Google has confirmed that it has plans to add the Buy button to its search engine ads in the near future.
According to NDTV, Omid Kordestani, the Chief Business Officer at Google announced the search engine giant's plan to introduce the buy button in its ads. He gave this statement while speaking at the Code Conference in California that happened on Wednesday. While he confirmed the plan to add a Buy button, Kordestani did not give any details on how they would go about the implementation part of this project. In his statement at the conference, Kordestani also said that the major motive of introducing this facility is to streamline the searching and buying process through Google.

As of now, users can search and are redirected to the original website when it comes to making the purchase. It is interesting to note that this confirmation from Google comes quick in the line of several online shopping websites confirming their decision to go mobile. In fact, a lot of them are even willing to forgo their desktop website in order to strengthen their mobile presence.
Rumors about Google working on the development of this option had been doing the rounds for quite some time. Another report from Wall Street Journal also gave a sneak peek into the functionality of the button and the implementation that precedes it. This report apparently claimed that the Buy button would be introduced in a few weeks and would initially be restricted to the mobile search site. While this facility will help the retailers make the difficult conversion, it will also alienate them to a certain extent by giving users a more easy option to buy.
Another report on Engadget says that as of now it is not very clear as to which retailers would be willing to get on-board for this campaign by Google. Though, they are sure that no big names will be willing to accept the deal, at least initially.
