According to a leaked image from Best Buy, which was posted on Twitter, "Dragon Quest Heroes" might be released on Oct. 13, 2015.
For a long time, Square Enix had fans on the edge of their seats as they announced that "Dragon Quest Heroes" will be out for a PS4 release, but they never really divulged the actual release date. They even had an awesome trailer set up as early as September last year. Moreover, the photo does not include the PS3 logo, which hints that the game's release to the Western market might be a PS4 exclusive. Whether Enix was going for an E3 announcement or not, the surprise has already been ruined by the leaked photo.

Basically, "Dragon Quest Heroes" is a full-scale hack-and-slash RPG game developed by Omega Force and published by Square Enix. The game comes with unique visuals, characters and monsters created by renowned artist Akira Toriyama. Its full game title is: "Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below." As the name implies, gamers will get to play as some of the most popular heroes of the Dragon Quest series.
For those unfamiliar with the game's genre, "Dragon Quest Heroes" basically features a "Dynasty Warriors" type gameplay with well-known characters throughout the game franchise. In the latter aspect, the game is similar to "Dissidia: Final Fantasy," as this game also features characters throughout the FF franchise who only meet for the first time in the amalgamated game.
Fans of the original 1986 game need not worry about "Heroes" breaking tradition, because the game will be spearheaded by Yuji Hori himself. "Dragon Quest" composer Koichi Sugiyama will also play an integral part in the creation of the game.
During the game's Japanese release, it sold 594,000 copies in its first week alone; that's 325,000 copies in the PS3 and 269,000 on the PS4. With the leaked photos and purported release date, U.S. "Dragon Quest" fans are itching to get their hands on a copy.
Aside from the game itself, Square Enix will also release a PS4 console design for "Dragon Quest Heroes," which also includes a custom decal of Metal Slime on the PS4 cover.
