Manchester United Plans To Spend £113 Million In Order To Acquire Three Key Players

In order to further intensity the club's squad, Manchester City is reported to have been arranging deals in order to acquire three key players. The three transfers will cost the Red Devils a stunning £113 million.

First on the list and the clubs top priority is Marco Reus. The German footballer is currently signed with Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. Rumors claim that Reus has already turned down the offer but Manchester is putting £50 million in the table in order to entice Reus to transfer, according to Metro.

Reus is known for his versatility in playing the forward position. He is also capable of playing either in the left or right flank and can step up on a more central role when needed.

Second on the list is Gonzalo Higuain. In case Higuain agrees to the transfer, it will Manchester United £42 million to complete the deal. Higuain currently plays for Italian club Napoli. The Argentine striker has previously played for Real Madrid and River Plate. Higuain is part of the Argentine national squad since 2009.

Higuain is one of the core players for Napoli. He has scored 50 goals in 96 appearances for the Italian club, according to Football Fan Cast.

Manchester is also eyeing to acquire Argentine Nicolas Gaitan for a hefty £21 million, according to Express. The Argentine midfielder currently plays for Portuguese club Benfica. He is also part of the Argentine national squad that qualified for the 2014 World Cup Finals in Brazil.

Gaitan started his career with the Boca Juniors before being transferred to Benfica. He plays the attacking midfielder position favoring the left side of the field. He is a left-footer known for his dribbling skills and excellent ball distribution.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal confirmed that all the three transfers are currently in negotiation.

Aside from the three mentioned player, van Gaal is also ready to cast a bid in case the rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid are true.
