iTunes radio service is a free to stream music options provided by Apple; however, as of now, Apple is planning to revamp the service and reportedly wants to add more glamour by getting star musicians to be their guest DJ.
According to Apple Insider, the plans to revamp the free music streaming service - iTunes radio - are on in full swing. In fact, the report also confirmed that Apple was approaching big names in the music industry to be a part of the new service. As of now, they have expressed their keenness to sign Drake, Pharrell and David Guetta as iTunes Radio Guest DJs. The sources have confirmed that Apple is currently negotiating a nineteen million dollar deal with music artist Drake. If the deal is finalized, Drake will be one of the guest DJ and assume several other responsibilities in the project.

Apart from Drake, Apple is also discussing a similar contract with Pharrell and Guetta, both star musicians in their respective categories. This report also points out that Pharrell and Guetta were amongst the first celebrities spotted wearing the Apple smartwatch; however, this does not provide any sort of confirmation about their association to Apple or the iTunes Radio project. Even Drake had been spotted wearing the smartwatch, during one of his public appearances.
Giving details on Apple's strategy with the iTunes radio service, the report said that they planned to provide an initial free subscription or trial for a period of three months. In order to avoid making losses, Apple is also in talks with music companies seeking a waiver of the fees for the initial trial phase and even provide free lyrics.
Another report on Uber Gizmo tells us that the new version will be called Apple Music. The brand is hopefully capitalizing on the popularity and fan following that these three musicians enjoy. It is expected that the new version will be unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2015 that kicks off on June 8 in San Francisco, Ca, which is expected to happen during the company's keynote address.
