Tabata further mentioned that Square Enix is one of the largest and the first companies to adopt the DirectX12 and tried to incorporate it to the API, in order to create high quality content and assets, according to Dual Shockers. This project was the one that inspired the famous Witch project.
"Final Fantasy XV" is currently getting developed in DirectX11 and hence, the Witch project is being worked upon in a way so as to prepare it to work on future platforms after the XV version, according to The Game News.
The company is working in a highly dedicated manner to enable the next gen technology in their future works. They want the users to experience tech-savvy products and thus they are working hard to incorporate all the important features in the new product.
Tabata further explained that they are trying to make themselves familiar with the technology which they will use to create games as well. This is done with the intention of creating some amazing products, which not only the customers will love to use, but also remember it for years.
The research that is going on with the new tech revealed that the new workflows and processes can be incorporated with the CGI creation and can be used for the current generation as well.
The new games can be expected to be of an improved quality and processed in a far better way. Their usability will also be enhanced with the incorporation of the latest technology.
Square Enix also plans to share these resources with other companies so that fans of other games will be happy as well. According to reports, they are already in talks about collaborating with Nvidia and Microsoft while Tabata-san will likely to increase these collaborations in the coming months.
